3. Reset iTunes Library on Windows Computer

  1. Open File Explorer on your computer.
    On the File Explorer screen, rename the C: \ Users \ Music \ iTunes folder and iTunes iTunes.itl file.
  2. Similarly, rename iTunes Music Library.xml file as iTunes Music Library.old.
  3. Restart iTunes on your computer.

When iTunes opens again, it will clear all playlists and create new iTunes Library.itl and iTunes Music Library.xml files.
